Lowe and Partners Appoints Matt Lanning as APAC Engagement Planning Director Posted on

Matt Lanning has been appointed to the newly created position of Engagement Planning Director, working across both the Lowe, and Lowe Profero brands in Asia.

Based in Singapore, Lanning will report to Lowe Profero Southeast Asia MD Stuart Edwards with a remit to ensure digital channel planning and thinking are integral to the development of all Lowe and Partners campaigns across the region.

Lanning brings over 16 years of experience from America and Asia Pacific to the role. He was most recently based in Sydney where he held a number of senior positions including Director of Communications Planning for Wunderman, and Communications Director for Naked Communications.

Prior to this he held a global role at MEC in Los Angeles, and positions at Starcom in both Los Angeles and Singapore. Throughout his career Lanning has worked on many award winning campaigns including “Share a Coke”, Microsoft Surface and the launch of Windows 8, for clients including Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Nestle, P&G, Pernod Ricard, Activision, Disney and Sony.

Lowe Profero’s Southeast Asia MD Stuart Edwards noted that Lanning’s appointment strengthened the aim to build the most integrated client offering in Asia. “Matt is a world class planner with the vision to create comms plans influenced as much by a Google keyword as a TVC or print execution,” he said. “This is a crucial hire as we power up to be the preeminent agency across the region.”

Engagement Planning Director Matt Lanning commented that this was an ideal time to join the integrated Lowe and Partners team. “The combination of talent offers amazing opportunities to offer joined up client solutions that no other agency in the region can offer,” he said.

The appointment comes as Lowe Profero relocates to one shared office with Lowe in central Singapore, creating one of Asia’s first truly integrated agency service offerings.

The combined Lowe and Partners business in Southeast Asia is led by Lowe Profero’s Global CEO, Wayne Arnold and Southeast Asia MD, Stuart Edwards alongside Lowe’s existing management team, led by Asia Pacific Regional President, Rupen Desai.
